As I grow older and evolve as a mom, I find myself tending more and more towards slow fashion!
To be fully honest, my children have pretty much only ever worn second-hand clothes. I love the idea of being good to the environment by “recycling clothes” and giving them a second life. But I also love not being stressed about anything shrinking the first time I wash it, not over-sweating the kids getting dirty, and the lower price tag.

But buying second-hand also meant buying more for each child, since I could now afford more. All of my kids ended up with closests ready to burst and WAY more clothes than they would ever wear!
In recent months, I have felt compelled to do more – more for our planet, more for the people collecting the fibers and making the clothes, and more for small businesses who care for their workers and our environment.
I also have an inner desire to have less “stuff” around me. I want a simpler life, with less clothes, less toys, less to tidy up and clean.
I feel that a lot of it is also coming from the way I envision our full-time travel to look like. We are about to embark on 15 to 18 months of travel around the planet. We will live, all 5 of us, out of 3 hand luggages. And I will finally experience the meaning of living with less. Which also means that we need to be smart about what we pack.
This all led me to Little Hedonist.

More and more, I want to shop at small stores and support small business owners. Since starting the blog and owning my own business, I feel connected to anyone grinding day and night to make their vision a success.

I love the idea of helping another woman succeed, and Judith is just the sweetest person. She had a vision and I command her for executing it so well. 2- Organic And Sustainable
All of the Little Hedonist clothes are organic and sustainable. Whenever I can, I now try to only purchase organic cotton.
Organic cotton is grown in a way that uses agricultural methods and materials that lessen the impact on our environment! Less carbon is involved, due to less fuel and energy being used. It is also a chemical-free production process, preventing water contamination and protecting the health of its workers.
That tag makes my day everytime I read it 
The quality control standards are rigid and you can be sure that organic cotton is better for your, and your children’s skins! Just think of all the pesticides and fertilizers going into regular cotton…

3- Soft And Comfy
Because only the best cotton is used and because Judith is a mom herself, all of the clothes are incredibly soft. My kids will put them on and kinda cuddle themselves into them… they love how they feel on their skin.
Both the lighter summer collections and the thicker winter items have a feel of luxurious material. Little Hedonist makes “no-non-sense” clothes for the kids to have fun, play, and feel good in. The tags, for example, are stitched on the outside of the clothes… no more itching!!
Because children should be given the freedom of being kids, without compromising their sense of fashion!
Yet, the collections are perfectly cut and fitted, leaving the kids looking so cute, you might spend more time than you want behind the camera 🙂
4- Unisex Collections
With 2 girls and a boy, this talks right to me! Outside of the dresses and light pink salopettes, all of the clothes I bought can be worn by our girls and our boy!
The Little Hedonist collections are unisex, which also means less buying, and less packing for us. As Ava will outgrow her clothes during our world tour, Mark will inherit them, and his will fit Elin as the months go on.
Today already, I pack outfits that fit both Mark and Ava. One day Mark will wear the yellow pants, the next Ava will slide right into them. The pink tank top works just as well under Mark’s navy salopette as it does on Ava!
5- Earth Tones
This is the third thing I was looking for, for our trip. I wanted organic cotton unisex clothes, in plain colors. And those colors needed to be earth-tones and all look good together, so that I can fit any top with any bottom and still have all kids look good in photos together!
Since we are packing so little and our access to washing machines might be limited, I love the idea of being able to pull out any two pieces of clothes and have them automatically match in all combinations of style. Everyone always looks good and assorted and this mama’s life is made SO much easier for it!

In all honesty, Little Hedonist, given all of the above, prices their clothes very fairly.
Remember that they are made in Europe, of organic cotton, and their style is sure to impress. I can’t tell you how often people turn around to tell us how cute our kids look! For all of that, their prices are very reasonable!
